Additional support

More ways to get help

Beyond peer support, there are many other services available to help you through a mental health crisis, substance use challenges, or difficult living situations.

Mental health crisis or risk of suicide

If you or someone you know has a mental health, substance use or addiction emergency, call 9-1-1.

If less immediate assistance is required, but you are concerned that you or someone you know or love could be experiencing a mental health crisis or is at risk of suicide, call 8-1-1 to be connected with crisis intervention services and people who are trained to provide support.

Living with violence or abuse

If you're currently living in a situation with violence or are being physically, mentally or sexually abused by someone, please reach out to the following organizations. Your safety is critical to protect your physical and mental health.

Substance use and addictions

Substance use in the perinatal period affects the entire family. If you’re in the perinatal period, pregnant, or are a parent with substance use or addiction issues, call 8-1-1 to be connected with support for you and your family.

Basic needs support

Food, shelter and safety are essential to good health. When these needs aren’t met, they place great stress on people and families and increase their risk for physical and mental health issues.
